Associate Attorney Job Description:
Masis Professional Group has an immediate need for an Associate Attorney for a very well established and highly reputable law firm in the Boulder, CO area on a full-time direct hire basis.
Associate Attorney Responsibilities:
- Efficient management of multiple cases
- Timely preparation of pleadings, motions and discovery to opposing parties
- Participate in mediations, hearings and depositions as required
- Client interaction and problem resolution as it relates to cases
- Integration of best practices and standards in handling clients and their cases
- Evaluation of findings and development of strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases
- On-time completion of reports/projects, in adherence to partner and client needs/guidelines
- Accurate and timely recording of billable hours, in adherence to client guidelines and Firm policy
Associate Attorney Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Must be admitted to practice in Colorado
- 1-5 years of litigation experience securities/FINRA, commercial litigation, D&O, professional liability preferred.
- Experience drafting summary judgment motions and other dispositive motions a plus
- Mediation and trial preparation experience a plus
- Knowledge of federal and state rules of civil procedures
- Thorough knowledge of legal procedures and current developments.
- Working knowledge of computers, along with the ability to maintain, update, and modify documents.
- Possess relevant technology competencies such as LexisNexis, and time-billing software.
